Inside the Atlanta Apparel Market (Pt 2)

We absolutely love taking you along with us as we explore market each season! We shop vendor after vendor, taking in all of the current styles/trends, and eventually curate the perfect collection for you! I can't tell you how much fun it is:) And what an honor to do it for you!

                         

Come with me for a little behind the scenes as we narrow down literally thousands and thousands of styles to the perfect pieces for *your* closet!

 

To begin, we head straight to our go-to manufacturers. Each manufacturer has a different process for organizing their collections. Most use a color coded system (first task...ask them for a run down on how their booth is organized). They refer to their pieces that are available for immediate delivery as "immediates." Clever...right?! The rest are referred to as "futures," for "future" delivery...not too tricky so far;) The color codes found on the hangers indicate which month each piece will be available for delivery. Generally speaking, we can see about 4-5 months worth of "immediates" and "futures" at any given market (this is specifically related to the Atlanta Apparel Market).

                         

We spend our initial visit with each vendor simply taking pictures of our favorite pieces in their collection. Later we go back and narrow down (multiple times) to our must-haves for each manufacturer. Narrowing down has so much to do with when pieces are available, what trends we want to offer you, what timeless pieces will be your staples, not getting too many of very similar pieces, and so on and so on. When we are done narrowing down to our purchase list for each vendor, we head back around to start the buying process! Each vendor will gather our chosen pieces and place our order. The only thing left to do is head home and wait (somewhat) patiently for our stellar UPS man to delivery all of your goodies. Ahh! I love it!
